This two-year old little girl was born with two faces in Dheli, India. But instead of being treated as weird and an outcast she is being revered as a reincarnated god and she is being compared to Lakshmi Tama.

Doctors consider her healthy. She was born with 4 eyes, 2 noses, 2 mouths, 2 ears, and 1 dimple on a shared cheek. What is more amazing is that she could suck her thumb on one mouth and be fed through the other mouth.

Local villagers sing and dance regularly for her. Check out the news clip below for more info...

Last week I was really itching to change my blog template but I had to stop myself coz I really like this existing template. It's clean and uncluttered and doesn't take ages to load. So instead of messing with my theme, I decided to add a personalized touch to all my blogs with favicons. The blogger favicon looks so generic and if you want to have your blog standout from bookmarked sites then use favicons.

A "favorite icon" or favicon (pronounced fav-eye-con) is a 16x16 pixels icon that appears next to a website's URL in the address bar of a web browser. Browsers that support favicons may display them in the browser's URL bar, next to the site's name in lists of bookmarks, and next to the page's title in a tabbed document interface.

Setting up your favicon is really easy and with these easy steps you'll have your own favicon up in mere minutes.

1. Make your own icon. You can make it from scratch using photo editing/graphic softwares or you may use these favicon generators:
  • GenFavIcon - upload our chosen image and you'll be able to generate16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64 and 128x128 and can be saved in ico and jpg format.
  • FavIcon from Pics - create icons and marquees for your web pages, can save in ico format.
  • Dynamic Drive - supports gif, jpg, png, and bmp and generates .ico format images.
  • Favicon.co.uk - .ico file from any image on your computer in 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 64x64 image sizes.
  • Favicon.cc - import an image or paint your own! generates ico file format images plus you have the option to publish your work.
  • GraphicsGuru
  • DagonDesign - lets you upload an image (JPG, PNG, or GIF - 100KB max), and easily convert it to a standard 16x16 favicon.ico file for display on your website.
  • 256 pixels - upload an image or start from scratch. their daily favicon challenge make it more interesting.
  • webscriptlab - upload an image (png, jpg,gif or png - 150 kb max) and convert it to 16x16 or 32x32 ico file format.
  • Somacon - draw your own and create a 16x16 pixel icon in 16 colors with optional transparency.
  • favicongenerator - image for uploading must be square. generates ico file format images.
  • antifavicon - Favicons generated here contain text instead of images in order to be descriptive.
  • iconj - free generator and .ico file hosting.
  • Prodraw - allows jpg, gif, jpeg, png, bmp, tif, tiff less than 1 mb. Output size from 16x16 pixels , 32x32 , 48x48 up to 128x128 pixels in the *.ICO icon format. Also generates icons with different sharpen levels to let you compare with and download.
  • Faviconexpert - Image includes scrolling text option.
  • Ajaxload
2. Once you have your icon image ready, host it somewhere (free filehosting is everywhere :P).

3. Go to your blog template and after the tag, head

add this code:

If the your favicon file format is .ico, use this code:

If the your favicon file format is .jpg/gif/png, use this codes:

Oprah said "wallpapers are back" it has been the latest hip thing on the interior decorating scene. I haven't really given much thought to wallpapering since I got used to painted walls. But I've been hopping and checking out interior design and home decor sites and it made me want to bring colors to my walls.

Wallpapers now have sharper images and improved color resolutions because of the advancements in technology so expect more designs that would suit every lifestyle. Here's some easy on the pocket, wallpaper innovations guaranteed to bring color in your walls without breaking your bank balance.

  • Easy Hang Wallpaper - This is a great option for renters and can be reused. Installing non-woven wall coverings can be faster than painting, which requires preparing the wall surface (wallpapers always hide a myriad of blemishes), applying primer and at least two coats of paint. Non-woven wall coverings adhere to walls with magnet-force, yet are easily re-positionable. Easy-hang wallpapers are usually made from a blend of natural and synthetic fibers found in common household products like tea bags and coffee filters, non-woven are tear-resistant during installation and removal.
  • Natural Textures (eco-friendly) - wallpapers such as naturally textured sea grass, bamboo, grasscloth, silk, burlap and jute -- but only for the high-end of the market. Recent technological advances have made them both far more affordable and colorful. Natural wall coverings are now available in fashion-forward peacock blue, silver, gold, kiwi and violet.
  • Peel-and-Stick - this peel-and-stick technology sticks to walls only as long as you want with no residue; and can be repositioned, removed and reused on any flat surface. Perfect for children and teens with changing tastes and college students living in dorm rooms, many peel-and-stick wallpapers also have decidedly grown-up appeal, including dramatic damasks, hip silhouetted blooms and pop-art flowers. These non-toxic, amazingly affordable wall appliqués can transform even the smallest bathrooms, bedrooms, laundry rooms and alcoves.
  • Digital Printing - Specialty limited-edition murals in painterly or photo-realistic styles; scenes of romantic, faraway places; and amazingly realistic nature scenes pack a powerful visual punch and take the place of costly artwork. Thanks to new digital printing technologies, wallpaper companies now offer detailed murals that no one ever tires of viewing.
This is making me so excited and itching to try wallpapering our daughter's room.. Well, I have to hold myself back till we move to our new place. Only a month to go and I could go crazy decorating again..

Here's the worlds most expensive Barbie doll, designed by De Beers, is dressed in an evening gown decorated with 160 diamonds and she has complimentary gold jewelry and accessories.

The De Beers Barbie dolls was produced to mark the 40th anniversary in 1999 and was retailed at a whooping $85, 000! This is definitely one doll I wouldn't want my daughter, "the Destroyer" to play with. Lol!

For your kids airborne amusement, get Treetent, tear-drop shaped architectural tent is a 13 foot tall pod designed by Dutch sculptor Dré Wapenaar.

“Nestled among the branches, up off the ground, there’s a nine-foot-diameter hardwood floor and groovy round mattress inside,” Neiman Marcus explains. “It sleeps two adults comfortably and also makes the world’s coolest tree fort/spaceship (with adjustable planetary landing steps).”
This mobile treepod is being retailed at $50,000! Now the frugal mom in me is saying, the regular tent would do and I could probably build a couple of fab tree houses with that amount.

In China, nearly 3,500 kids are named after Olympics. This shows that the 2008 Games is more than an event—it will be a cultural and historical phenomenon held very dear to the hearts of the Chinese. So don't be surprised if sometime in the future you meet a lot of Chinese named, Olympics.

Here's another unique baby naming story - a Chinese couple wants to take unique baby naming to another level. A San Francisco Chronicle article mentioned a couple’s desire to literally name their baby “@”, spelled just like that.
“A Chinese couple seeking a distinctive name for their child settled on the e-mail ‘at’ symbol — annoying government officials grappling with an influx of unorthodox names."
“The unidentified couple were cited Thursday by a government official as an example of citizens bringing bizarre names into the Chinese language. Written Chinese does not use an alphabet but is comprised of characters, sometimes making it difficult to develop words for new or foreign objects and ideas.”
They had good intentions—In Chinese, the letters ‘a’ and ‘t’ sound like words for “love him.” It’s still unknown if the parents were successful at naming their little one ‘at.’

I got myself a correctional and protective glasses two months ago since my optometrist advised me to have one. It made sense coz I spend a lot of time in front of the computer and a lot of time too making fashion accessories and it really strains my eyes. But its cheap too.. The frame I chose plus the lenses cost me around $150.

The glasses have now grown on me and I kinda like it. It enhances the wardrobe you know :), so I want to have some new stylish frames so I could switch it depending on my clothes but I was thinking that would be a bit expensive. I came across these incredible stylish new frames from Zenni and found one I really like.

I love the frame and they even have different colors available and I checked the price and its a surprise that it wouldn't burn a hole in my pocket. Prices can even go as low as $8 at Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses. Prices as low as that wouldn't stop me from getting my styish frames. Zenni Optical was on FOX news! so I think they must be doing great and satisfying their customers :).

I haven't tried it yet for myself. I was supposed to go with my friends a couple of weeks ago when I went home to Bicol but alas! I had to attend to some personal matters so I wasn't able to go. A lot of people have been raving about this sport and since CamSur Water Sports Complex is less than 2 hours drive from my place we really wanted to try it out and hopefully we could do that soon.

My two bestfriends are really into it and they keep wanting to drag me along with them. So what makes them so hooked on it? Well, aside from seeing local celebrities and hunky foreigners, they said it's a great sports which presents good physical challenges.

Wakeboarding was developed from a combination of water skiing, snow boarding and surfing techniques. Riders on specially des
igned boards are tugged behind a boat, while trying to maintain balance, navigate, do stunts on obstacles and ramps and get airborne by using the boat's wake.

The tricks performed by wakeboarders are simply amazing but it requires concentration, technical skills. Lol! I t
hink being able to stand up on the board is a feat in itself! Wake Instruction Website - Learn Wake , Wakeboarder.com, WakeBoardReport, WakeWorld, and World Wakeboard Association are great resources for wakeboarding newbies and enthusiasts.

Here in the Philippines, you can try out wakeboarding in these two hotspots:

Everyone have their quirks and weird somethings. My husband likes going to Divisioria and eating "pancit guisado" (that's a stir-fried noodle dish, common here in the Philippines, though of Chinese origin. This food is second in popularity to rice in the country, and is similar to and yakiudon, Japanese-style stir-fried noodles) in 168 mall food court. He could easily eat pancit at home or in the mall near our house but for some reason he likes heading over to Divisoria to have his "pancit guisado" meal. And he does that every two weeks or so and I always go with him so this has become some sort of bonding time for us.

As for me,whenever I feel down and not my usual crazy, bubbly self, I head over to the grocery and somehow the stroll relieves me of daily stresses. Hubby says that is plain weird but for some reason walking on the grocery aisles and choosing which detergent to buy makes me feel a bit energized.

I usually like to have my grocery therapy after lunch, between 2 pm and 4 pm, that's the time where the crowds are thin and you can really wander aimlessly without bumping to a lot of people.

For some people grocery shopping is a chore but for me it's one of the most enjoyable tasks I could to. But Lol! I don't do it everyday. I do it twice a week if not I might grow out of my grocery shopping infatuation if I am at it more frequently.

How about you? What are your weird quirks?

I've seen my mom using a pedometer. She says it's to count the steps she makes each day and it actually motivates her to walk more and target a certain amount. The pedometer is a cool and small gadget you just attach to your belt and it measures each step you make. Everyday she targets at least 10,000 steps and it looks really fun.

Here now is flashy fitness footwear step counter I saw online. I dunno how many steps I can actually take if I use this one but if I do manage to walk in them, they’ll keep track of every step I take with their built in counter. Perfect for the calorie-counting woman who doesn’t want to sacrifice style for while tracking miles walked!

I'm not sure I could get anywhere far wearing this and if and when I am coerced into wearing this, well I would require a chauffeur driving me back and forth and a band-aid just to make sure I could still get back. Lol! Trends and fashion at times really amaze me!

I like being clean. I am obsessive about organizing my house, the clutter, just about everything I could see I have to organize. I hate having dust all over the house and the bedroom in particular. My husband though loves having carpets on the living room and in his work area in our bedroom. Carpets are just like magnets for dust and I have been waging a battle against them for as long a I can remember.

When we first moved back to the Philippines we didn't have a maid and during the first month when I have yet to buy a reliable vacuum cleaner so it was just me, the broom and the mop with a pail of soapy water against those dust bunnies. After a month of that I decided that hey! I don't wanna end up looking like a maid so I got myself one of those huge, bulky vacuum cleaners and it was fine as long you have ear plugs and you turn a blind eye on your electric bill. My daughter who was just two that time got so scared with the sound and thought the vacuum was a monster!

The noise could just get so irritating and embarrassing when one of our neighbors asked me if I was drilling something on the wall everyday.. I keep wondering when will there be a vacuum cleaner in the market that is compact, not so noisy and most of all, energy efficient with Energy Star approval?

5238dd240x180public

Home-makers would be specially glad to know that Dirt Devil is finally here. With its state of the art technology it would get the cleaning done with minimum noise, its cordless so there's increased mobility for you - meaning I could still chase after my daughter, it uses less energy - meaning great savings and would hopefully cure my daughter of her fear of vacuum noise.. Now to have this would be a dream come true for someone obsessive about cleaning. I wonder when do I start my "campaign" for my husband to give me one Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner?

A month ago I've posted some tips on stain removal particularly for beer, chocolate, and coffee stains. Here's another batch of tips for removing stains from cooking oil, fresh fruits and ice cream.
  • Oil Stains
When we cook we at times we can't avoid getting our clothes splattered with cooking oil even if you're wearing an apron. Oil stains can be ugly and the residue can just ruin our clothes. They key to getting out oily and greasy stains is to wash clothing in the hottest water that is safe for the fabric.
  1. Remove as much excess oil as possible with a dull knife or spoon.
  2. Apply 3-5 minutes to allow it to go completely through the fabric.
  3. Use liquid detergent to rub through the stained fabric.
  4. Allow the garment to sit for a few minutes.
  5. Wash in the hottest water safe for the fabric. Check tags to determine what water temperature to use for washing.
  • Fresh Fruit Stains

  1. Treat stain as quickly as possible. Use a spoon or dull knife to remove the excess fruit.

  2. Rinse the stained area with cold water.

  3. Rub liquid detergent gently into the stain.

  4. Let the stain stand for at least 5 minutes before rinsing hot water through the back of the stain over the sink. Making the water as hot as you can will force the stain back out through the fabric.

  5. Apply a stain remover stick, gel, or spray, and wash regularly with liquid detergent.

  6. If the stain remains and the garment is white, or you have tested it for colorfastness, use a mild bleaching agent like hydrogen peroxide or white vinegar. You can also use lemon juice. Use a sponge to apply. Rinse thoroughly.

  7. Apply stain remover stick, gel, or apray again and rewash with liquid detergent.

    Stain Removal Tip:
If you can’t get to the stain right away, try sprinkling salt on the affected area. Salt will help absorb the stain until you have time to treat it.
  • Ice Cream Stains
Fresh Stains

  1. Treat stains as soon as possible for the best results. Put the stained fabric into cold water for 5-10 minutes.
  2. If the stain remains, rub detergent into the stained area and soak in room temperature water for 1/2 an hour. Rub the stain every 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add a stain remover stick, gel, or spray to the stained area, and allow to sit for 7-10 minutes.
  4. Repeat as needed until no stain remains.
  5. Wash according to directions for clothing.

Dried Stains
  1. Remove as much of the stain as possible using a spoon or dull knife.
  2. Rub detergent into the stained area, and allow the stain to soak in cold water for 30 minutes. Rub the stain every 3-5 minutes.
  3. Repeat steps 3-5 for fresh stains.

I love ads! Creative and not so boring ads.. At times, I could just browse endlessly for cool and noteworthy ads. I even have a blog site featuring mainly celebrity ads. If I could go back to school I'd definitely go for an marketing/advertising major! :) Here some of my picks of cool outdoor ads.

A life-sized mannequin is sitting above a billboard that reads, “From up here, I can see BMW of Bridgeport.”

Ikea on wheels. Ain't this awesome?

A bus shelter that looks like the front counter of a McDonalds.. I love this idea.. After a few minutes standing in this bus stop, I'd be wanting to grab a McDonald's meal..

Giant Nike soccer ball bursting out of a building. Simply very clever!

A giant Ravensburger Puzzle box with an image of the White House popping out from a pile of rubble. This is so eye catching! Just how an ad should be..

1 package dry onion soup mix
Freshly ground white pepper

Procedure:

  • Add the soup mix and stir until smooth.
  • Season with pepper.
  • Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  • Serve with your choice of pica pica.

I think my writing creativity (as if I have any- my brother is saying lol!) just went ptfft! So I decided to give myself sometime to relax and not think about what my next post will be.

Feeling a little recharged I checked out Snapbomb for some blog advertising to write about. I've actually signed up for this a couple of months back but I forgot about it since I was really busy setting up my other two blogs.

So what exactly is Snapbomb? If Snapbomb is a girl, a guy would definitely take a second look. The name itself is intriguing. It is actually a blog marketing and advertising site where bloggers like me would get the opportunity to express our opinions on different matters and earning while we are doing that. And the site doesn't disappoint in terms of aesthetics and of course functionality, just take a look at the screenshot below. With regards to payment, they send payments via Paypal on the 5th of each month. And another great thing, there is no minimum payment required so you can get your work's worth without waiting for it to reach a certain amount.
