Fighting with Those Ferocious Dust Bunnies

I like being clean. I am obsessive about organizing my house, the clutter, just about everything I could see I have to organize. I hate having dust all over the house and the bedroom in particular. My husband though loves having carpets on the living room and in his work area in our bedroom. Carpets are just like magnets for dust and I have been waging a battle against them for as long a I can remember.

When we first moved back to the Philippines we didn't have a maid and during the first month when I have yet to buy a reliable vacuum cleaner so it was just me, the broom and the mop with a pail of soapy water against those dust bunnies. After a month of that I decided that hey! I don't wanna end up looking like a maid so I got myself one of those huge, bulky vacuum cleaners and it was fine as long you have ear plugs and you turn a blind eye on your electric bill. My daughter who was just two that time got so scared with the sound and thought the vacuum was a monster!

The noise could just get so irritating and embarrassing when one of our neighbors asked me if I was drilling something on the wall everyday.. I keep wondering when will there be a vacuum cleaner in the market that is compact, not so noisy and most of all, energy efficient with Energy Star approval?

Home-makers would be specially glad to know that Dirt Devil is finally here. With its state of the art technology it would get the cleaning done with minimum noise, its cordless so there's increased mobility for you - meaning I could still chase after my daughter, it uses less energy - meaning great savings and would hopefully cure my daughter of her fear of vacuum noise.. Now to have this would be a dream come true for someone obsessive about cleaning. I wonder when do I start my "campaign" for my husband to give me one Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner?
