Weekend Project: Memo/Photo Holder

There are a lot of things I want to impart to my child and one of this is to learn to recycle. There are loads of stuff around the house that can be re-used. Great things always start from small things.

With a little bit of creativity there is a lot that can be done. My family has started what we call the weekend projects a few months ago and I've decided to feature some of our crafted items out of things around the house. It's a great bonding opportunity and its a lot cheaper too than going out to an amusement park or watching movies.

For my first weekend project post I am featuring one of my favorites. We love making this and I've actually given out a lot of this to my friends. It's a great office/desk accessory and would actually help keep you organized.

Materials:

3 pcs 18 inches flexi stainless wire
assorted beads
spare bottle or plastic cup
pliers

How:
  • Twist one end of the 3 wires to secure it.
  • Add a bead and twist again then add another bead until the whole wire is almost done leaving around 1 inch of wire.
  • Twist end securely with pliers.
  • Coil one end of the beaded wire to form a spiral.
  • Place the beaded wire inside the cup or bottle and fill it with assorted beads or stones or marbles to anchor.
  • Place a picture, or a business card on your holder and place it on your desk.

That's beautiful. It's a perfect project for my kids, except for baby who'll eat the little things.
