Fire ants are really annoying for me. Specially since my daughter is allergic to the poison it releases. We have several mango trees and pomegranate plants in our front yard. It's shady so she would usually play there. Unfortunately, fire ants decided these mango trees will be their home sweet home and when she gets stinged by those fire ants, it really burns her skin.
We've been getting rid of fire ants but it seems like they keep coming back. Good thing inside the house they don't venture as we keep it always clean and I removed all the carpets. Just a week ago, we sprayed it with an ant killer and they seemed to be nowhere but we'll just wait and see. If they come back, we'll just consider hiring an exterminator to take care of it.
