It's shopping season and I am a tiangge fanatic! Bazaars/tiangges are a must -visits for me coz I discover great items not to be found in malls at super affordable prices. Here are some tips on making your rounds in tiangges/bazaars:
1. Map your way. Most tiangges/bazaars are commonly constructed in grids. Decide whether to go row by row or column by column. This ensures that you wont miss out some booths.
2. Canvass before making your purchase. If you want to get the best deals, then canvass first. You might get a better bargain at the next stall so its worth a try.
3. Zip your wallet/bag. Bazaars and tiangges are crowded places, so make sure all your belongings are accounted for. Keep your bag close to you. Its best to use bags that are not easily torn or with double lining.
4. Inspect the items. Check for breakage, discoloration and other damages. Tiangges might not be there when you want to return or exchange your item.
5. Know where you're going. This saves time and will be less stressful for you. Note that most tiangge booths selling similar items are clustered together.
