I want to have my house smelling good.. But I dont like the smell of regular deodorizers or sprays, so I've decided on using candles, essential oils, and potpourri. Typically me, I embarked on a thorough research on home fragrances, essential oils and their effects on our mind as well as their skin health benefits. Here's what I found so far...
Add a few drops of essential oil to water for burning and spritzing around the house.

- LIME - uplifting and ideal for tired minds. It is stimulating and activating, especially where there is apathy, anxiety or depression.
- MANDARIN - the only oil considered safe for use after the first trimester of pregnancy. It is refreshing, happy, soothing and relaxing.
- MYRRH - stimulates and revives. it relieves apathy, lack of motivation and lethargy.
Tidbits:
- to encourage romance - use jasmine, neroli, orange, rose, sandalwood or ylang-ylang essential oils.
- burners should be deep and bowl-like at the top for the best results.
- try a few drops of lavender on your pillow to ensure a good night sleep.
- essential oils are a bit pricey so if on tight budget, try incense sticks.
I'm currently using CHAMOMILE scents for the bedrooms and its really so soothing...MANDARIN ESSENTIAL OIL for the living room!
