Want a fun, unique seats for your living area? These Desart modern seating collections would be the perfect choice for that. The Sea Urchin sitting collection designed by Andrea De Benedetto. I love the way its modern yet there something that in it that makes it look classic. Perhaps the floral design, perhaps its the color. I can't pinpoint it exactly but I love this attention grabbing seat collection.

DesartCollection has a very poetic description of the Sea Urchin collection. Let me quote..

In perfect natural harmony, Ricci di Mare becomes a “sculpture” for the refined customer who loves quality in all its forms. The sea urchins have lost their spines but maintain their typical rounded and harmonious form. Like a dream in a notte di mezza estate, its lines awaken the mysteries of obscure reefs where forms unknown to us are hidden yet in Ricci di Mare come to life and become legs and armrests, reminding us of fluid movements, inspired by beautiful and very red coral.
Just like a sea urchin that first holds within itself memories of a world beneath the water and then transforms into a marvelous shell, the lines of Andrea De Benedetto seem to have the ability of leading us toward happy memories of the past and promising hopes for the future.

I love writing. Though I'm not very good at it, I still keep it up. It's one way of expressing one-self and it helps me get over feelings and grow. So, its quite natural I fell in love with these at first sight...

Joaquim Ruiz Millet designed rug called Manuscrit Rug.

His Manuscrit Rug (2003) is an expression of all of his passions, and features a romantic poem that he wrote in his native Catalan. Featuring the actual handwriting of the designer, the rug is an enlargement of a page in a novel Ruiz Millet is working on. The designer plays with the dual meaning in this piece. On one hand, the rug is visually engaging and functional, while at the same time, it encourages people to walk on his words; a fragment of a work of fiction about power relationships imbued with highly charged eroticism.

Can you imagine a minimalist room, all white walls, or perhaps glass walls with white light filtering in? Although, perhaps if you are a die hard minimalist, you'd want to add in white or black sofas and furnishings. But I feel like having a different combination. Of something stark and adding in a splash of vibrant colors... with these funky and super vibrant furniture from Swedish furniture designed by Svenskt Tenn.

Lovely patterns, a mix of traditional and the modern. Something that won't ever go out of style. Stunning, right? They would be great room focal pieces..And I seriously can't decide which ones I like best. Teehee..

Apartments now are getting smaller and smaller and we are always on the lookout for space saving storage and furniture. Here's one I saw in Incredible Things.

This 2D Side Table is aptly called “Side Table what you see is not”. The body of the side table gets flattened into a wall sticker, while the “open drawer” remains three-dimensional, accommodating a few crucial items.

I find this totally delightful play of illusion and form. This 2D Table concept was designed by Fernando Brízio.

I love cooking and one of my shopping obsessions are cookware sets! And I have lots of them. And they are not just for display, I really make use of them frequently. The problem now that makes me wanna tear my hair out is that, frequent use leaves a lot of stain on my pots. And I can't have that, I love them that dearly.

So I've been looking up different ways and tips on keeping the stainless steel cookwares stain free and clean. First thing, keep in mind that abrasive cleaning tools like steel brushes can damage the surface of the pots.  But removing the stain without them is really challenging, so what to do?

  • Soak your pots in your sink filled with hot water mixed with dish washing liquid for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Scrub clean the pot with a nylon scrubbing pad.
  • If the stain is still there apply club soda directly on the stain and re-scrub it with the nylon scrub.
  • Rinse the pot well. Then wipe the pot with a terry cloth dipped in a little white vinegar.  White vinegar will remove the most stubborn of stains usually from extreme heat.
  • If you want to have the pot sparkling clean and shiny, white vinegar can be used. Add vinegar to the pot, spread the vinegar with a soft cloth and let it stand for about 30 minutes. Then wash it clean with detergent and rinse with water.
